I didn't know the 40-cell Brailliant had panning buttons at either end of the 
display in addition to the thumb keys. I have the 20-cell unit, which does not 
have those, but I have heard that the 40-cell Brailliant has more buttons than 
the one I have.

Yeah.  So far it's only in my thumbs, so if the display has panning buttons on 
either end of the braille cells, I'm fine.  The Brailliant does have that, but 
the Mantis does not.
