Regarding VarioUltra, no they've not incorporated wi-fi. If you look for a 
USB-C cable, I seem to remember they will tell you if it's for charging 
only.

About the Orbit Reeder: I actually did purchase one, but when I got it 
I,too, realized just how noisy and slow the Braille cells are when 
refreshing. Also, right out of the box, two of the cells had dots not 
working. The place I got it from did have a 15-day return policy and I was 
able to ship it back to them on time so was able to get a refund. I now 
have a Mantis which replaced my Focus display. Its main purpose in my life 
is to be a terminal for my PC and for several Apple devices. I love having 
the QWERTY keyboard for when I'm writing stuff on my Apple devices.
