The stuff I read was not limited to that model but went back to the M1 chip. My guess is that it started with that change. It’s very odd that it doesn’t happen to some people and that different folders and files are effected. Any file that I copied, which included all of my music, photos and other data has the August 16, 1970 on it. I can’t allow myself to think about it too much as I’m browsing files because it tends to make me annoyed and bend my brain ever so slightly.
