Here's what works for me.  select the text you want to replace and  
begin typing.  the text will disappear.

in order to keep the format exactly as it is, I overwrite the document  
in Word. I don`t know the name of the key in English, but on your  
Computer, there is a key. When you press it and continue to write, the  
original text disappears letter by letter and your text is there  
instead.
