Hi all: I'm currently running iTunes 8.1 and as of last night, I ran into a serious problem. 1ST of all, I'm providing the music for a party this weekend and I began to play around with the iTunes DJ. Thinking that it would allow song requesting and the like with the Mac Remote, instead the remote app for the iPod and phone. Now every launch of the iTunes ap, prompts me for the library and continues to do so when I point the file brouser to the library. I removed all aspects of the iTunes ap I could find, downloaded the dmg again, re_installed, added my music to a new library and guess what? The problem persists. This is in a since is a disaster because this party was planned for weeks and I was asked to provide the music. I can either down grade or burn off 7.4G of music and flatten my Mac and re_install from scratch. I do have a windows box but don't relish transfouring because the kb on my win laptop is not functioning that well. Oh one more note, I did set the library name option in the iTunes preferences.
