Hi. What will be my setup as it looks now: Imac 24 FIREDtV firewire external digital tv reciever that hooks up to my cable provider using db c codec.
software might be eyetv 3 either as stand alone, or in conjunction with front row via Pye tv plugin. I plan to connect the imac to my hifi setup through the digital optical output via tosslink, or maybe USB to an Hegel h100 stereo high-end amplifier, and wall mounted speakers. In the future Sonos or squeezebox and a nas server may be part of the equation. Any other suggestions would be greatly apreciated! Ps. I have ordered but not yet gotten my Imac! So I am waiting anxiously for the beast to arrive Best, Jesper. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Baxter" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, April 06, 2009 10:29 PM Subject: Re: Vlc and eye tv question once again. > > Are these TV applications for the Mac that get regular cable channels, > E.G. are you using a cable?
