Hi Randi, See my instructions about selecting and adding in blocks. Our posts crossed. You could select and album in the browser, move to the songs table, select all with Command-A, and then add that to the playlist with VO-Shift-M. I'll have to check that there isn't a focus glitch (there used to be -- and a work-around where you had to interact with a single track first before doing the Command-A), but my VoiceOver is playing up right now.
If you read the post on Introduction to Smart playlists you'll find out you can build playlists out of existing playlists, with rules like <Playlist> <is> <Name of Playlist>.
