Hi Justin, Alex has written this as a perl program. There are AppleScripts written by Travis Siegel and Greg Kearney that can also be used with either Spark or Quicksilver.
Here is Travis' saytime script from the archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/discuss%40macvisionaries.com/msg00873.html ( Re: Date And Time Speaking?) and here's Greg's AppleScript: http://www.mail-archive.com/discuss%40macvisionaries.com/msg35330.html (Re: Checking the time) One suggestion I'd make is to add a line with: delay 0.5 or longer time just before the line that begins with "say" in the case of these two AppleScripts. That gives VoiceOver a chance to stop speaking (from previous actions) so you don't get an interruption when the time gets announced. (This is a suggestion that Josh de Lioncourt made in some earlier on list discussions about AppleScripts). Either of these can be pasted into the edit text area of Spark after selecting the AppleScript menu option (Command-1). I'd suggest checking the script by running it in Spark (Command-R), before leaving the edit field and assigning a name and shortcut sequence.
