I have the files for mono development system on my mac and probably will get around to building them for use later this summer. A google search on man vbnc will give you some idea what that's all about. The mono project web page has the files for anyone interested. A successful build of vbnc at any rate and/or mono-basic will enable you to create executables that refer to common interface language which is the same standard visual studio 2008 uses. I've been studying that and got a foothold with debian's mono-vbnc package then got the software installed at work. Still lots to learn but it does work on Linux and windows and probably Mac once I get that environment set up.
