Alex, Try force quit and relaunch finder.
Or, try ejecting the cd as the computer is booting. If that doesn't work, open terminal and type lsof -n|grep /Volumes/ volumename. After the grep you could also just copy the ikon of the drive in question from the desktop and paste it into the terminal window. This will tell you what if any programms are using the disk. Or try this: in terminal type hdiutil eject -force /Volumes/volumename And if that doesn't work: reboot into command mode. I can't remember off hand how to do that but I think emediately after the start sound press command-option-o-f but I would look that up if I were you. Then type eject cd ret reboot-mac ret.
