Everything I've read says that is the way it is supposed to work. It might be that they haven't updated their documentation. I'm sure that doing it the normal way will work in any event. You may all ready know this, but you can just put all of your aliases in a cama separated list in the email address field in the account preferences dialog. It's in the mail help. You might want to check it out incase I got something slightly off, but that is the jist. Maybe that will help.
