Hi, You could use anti virius software if you wanted to, but it is really not necessary. mac is more secure then windows is for the most part. As long as you use comen sence and not open mail from people you do not know or download files you don't know whare they came from then you should be ok. I am not iusing any anti virius software here on this mac mini and it is runing as smooth as if I just got it yesterday.
