Hi,

Søren's post showed up with my last post (that gave a list of these
Finder shortcuts like Command-Shift-G for "Go to folder"). I meant to
add that a very useful combination is using Command-Shift-C to find
files on external drives and navigate down, then Command-Shift-G once
you know the full path to the folder. For example, if you are
transferring some music files on a USB memory key, that you want to
add to iTunes, you can either find the drive in the Finder sidebar
under "Devices" or use Command-Shift-C. Then, once you've located your
files there, you can use "Get Info" (Command-I) to find the path to
your file (e.g., /Volumes/Crucial/mymusic.mp3). To add these songs to
your iTunes library, you would use Command-O ("Add to Library") and
then, in the dialog window, you could use the Command-Shift-G "Go to
Folder" shortcut and type in "/Volumes/Crucial" (without the quotation
marks) as the place to find the music files in the previous example.

Cheers,

Esther
