Hi,

I've had similar problems and have noted somewhere that these WD hard  
drives appear to have problems with Leopard.  If yours is an older  
machine that was on sale, it may require a firmware update that  
improves its compatibility with Leopard.  This problem did not occur  
in Tiger but will rear its ugly head when connected to the Lepard OS.   
So, go on the net to the Western Digital site and look for a firmware  
update for your model of HD, install it and see if the problem is  
remedied.
