Hi Terrence, Do you have a microphone input as well as line in? If so, plug the mike into that and select that input rather than Line In. I don't think LIne In will work with a microphone. Or maybe there's a preamp that can be used. I have a Mac Mini, which doesn't have a microphone jack, so I had to buy a USB microphone.
I bought two recording packages, Audio Hijack Pro for recording multiple sound sources at once (system audio, microphone, and line in) and Amadeus Pro for editing my recordings.
