You do not have to use Vuescan. I only tried it once, but apparently it may offer some benefits with certain scanners with software interfaces that are problematic perhaps. I have used Read Iris with my HP scanner and the HP scanner's twain driver only. On Aug 22, 2009, at 3:37 PM, a radix wrote:
