Hello Everyone, In a previous message I mentioned about a test string
for testing virus checkers.
Currently I am running ProtectMac Antivirus. And what do you know. On
their web site I found a link to the test strings I mentioned. I
downloaded and during the download process ProtectMac Antivirus found
and responded to the test strings. You can test them with any
antivirus and they are not at all harmful because they are not really
viruses. they are made of ASCII characters.
For anyone who is interested, here is the link to the page.

http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm

From this page you can learn all about the testing protocol and
download and test your antivirus software.
You can also find this same page from ProtectMac Antivirus's page.

Go to the support link.

Perhaps some of you folks might have an interest in this information,
I don't know.
Dan
