From poking around it would appear that NeoOffice uses Java swing for the user interface and I suspect the Java swing to apple accessibility API connections are either not wired up or non-existant. I just downloaded NeoOffice and isntalled patch 7 and it was still inaccessible. It defaulted to opening up a text processor document and nothing I typed was read back to me.
