Hi. I have a mac mini, so I will set the record straight. Not having a
mouse does not cause problems, although the mac will not allow you to
turn off blue tooth. If you need to use a mouse for something, any usb
mouse will work fine. What can make a difference is whether a monitor
is connected. Some programs will become very slow without something
connected to the monitor port, and the dvd player won't work at all.
If connecting a monitor is not practical, or you want to take your
mini places where a monitor isn't available, you can purchase the
adapter from apple that will allow the mini to connect to a TV,
connecting this will make the mac think it's connected to a monitor.
