I remeber that in Leopard sometimes, I would have an issue where VO would either lose focus when it got to a new page or would stop reading altogether.
I know that TextEdit is described as a word procesor, but I have never personally considered it as such. D you have a fully fledged word procesor on your Mac? You may have better luck.
