From what I have read on other lists, reseting the PRAM in the any
MacOS X version will not make much of a difference. This was a common
debugging hint from OS7-9. I understand now the PRAM is mostly used
for when the Kernal panics to save the register information to report
back to Apple. For those that don't know a kernal panic is like the
"blue screen of death" on a Windows box, but the only time I have seen
one was when the hard disk was corrupt, or early on when there were
some issues with restoring the Network after awaking from sleep mode
in an entirely new network.

First is this for all password fields? If this is Leopard, do you have
any input managers (text expansion software or One Password) enabled?
I would attempt to disable these and see what happens. You could also
try locking your keychain in system preferences to see if this is
because the keychain is not interacting correctly with Safari.

Another thing to try is create a new user on the system and see if it
occurs there. That way you would know if it is system wide or not.
Best of luck,
Jon
