Anouk, The answer to this is yes, there are plenty of applications on mac comparable to Sonar, the big 3 probably being Pro Tools Logic and Digital Performer, with many more options beyond that.
Unfortunately though, none of these are currently accessible with VO. Logic is probably the leader of the pack at the moment, and with a dedicated control surface and some patients you could survive with getting the basics done. Digidesign have commited to improving the accessibility of Pro Tools, but for now it's a slow going process. Basically, for the forseeable, if you can't pull what you need out of Garage Band, you're probably destined to install boot camp and stick with Sonar. If you get a spare few minutes, I encourage you to write to [email protected] and express some distaste that there have been no accessibility improvements in the latest major version of Logic, an Apple product.
