Yes, vo plus j works great when it is a single message. However, when there is a thread it was easier to just hit enter and all the messages would open and voice over would automatically read the current message then when I closed the first message the second one would be automatically read by voiceover and this would continue until i got through the whole thread/conversation. VO plus J will not work where several messages are "stacked" together in a thread/conversation. Well, at least I do not know how to get vo plus j to work in a thread of messages. :) Like I said, it's not the end of the world that voicover is not automatically reading, I was spoiled before and I thought I had some setting changed or something which prevented me from using voiceover to read messages as I did before the upgrade to SL. Plus, I do think it's very weird that voiceover only reads the first sentence. :)
