Hey Mark, I like your description of the difference between voice over and JFW. While some people may think that calling it a stick shift means it's not as good, this isn't the case it's just different. In many ways, you have much more control over what you hear and how it's spoken. And, voice over is the only screen reader that can be controlled with a touch pad. And really, using voice over this way will make the iphone a bit easier, and vise versa. I don't have an iphone or ipod touch, so haven't tested the software you mention.
