um, I don't think the size of the voiceover cursor affects the  
performance.  I am just guessing here but I think it's because the  
voiceover cursor is displayed in a  larger size than what is actually  
on the screen so when the mouse pointer routs to the larger voiceover  
cursor the mouse pointer may not actually be pointing or hovering over  
the exact spot and therefore when clicked it isn't actually clicking  
on the desired item.  I hope that makes sense.  :)
