Yes, two ways. First, use rules in Mail itself, by creating a Smart Mailbox 
and/or going to Preferences > Rules. Alternatively, set up rules on your mail 
server. For instance, you can tell Gmail or iCloud to automatically tag or move 
mail to a certain place based on sender, subject, and other criteria. These are 
called filters. The advantage of server-based filters over local rules on your 
Mac is that filters apply to your mail on all devices. So, mail is moved to 
your Apple folder on the Mac as well as on your iPhone, for instance.

Sounds like you have conversations off. Go to the View menu and check "organize 
by conversation" to group mail by thread. Then, pressing delete on a thread 
erases all the messages in that thread. You can arrow through mail, as you 
know, but holding down shift as you arrow will select as you move. The delete 
key then erases all selected messages. Using vo-cmd-enter (Mavericks only) may 
work, I haven't tried it yet.

Go to Finder, hit cmd-shift-c (for computer) and then find your drive with the 
arrow keys. Press cmd-o to open it, and from there it's like any other folder. 
The right arrow may also open it, that depends on the view setting, as with any 
Finder window.

To copy an email address, select it and press cmd-c. To select it from a 
document, open that document, find the address, and use normal navigation 
commands combined with shift. For instance, option-right moves right a word, so 
option-shift-right selects the word to the right.

If the drive is from Windows, it is likely NTFS. You are able to read the files 
on that format, but you cannot write anything. So, you can open up a file and 
copy an email address, but if you want to modify the file, you'll need to save 
a copy somewhere else first.
