Hi Bill. Last year, I tried installing Windows 8 and I could not as I had the same problems as you did but my Windows 8 did complete the install. Narater would not come up at all.
In the end, I had to get a friend to make a similar file for me and he put it in my Drop box which I imported into my virtual machine as his mother had eyes. Kawal.
