Hi, Jessica, You can go to the safari page you want to add. From the file menu, choose "open in dashboard ...". This will give you a dialog that includes the option to select a portion of the webpage to add.
Unfortunately, customizing the webpage is very visual. I haven't found a way to do this and get audible feedback while doing it. i added an entire web page, and the widget is just called "web clip". I don't know how to rename a widget, but you can certainly get the webpage into the dashboard. Renaming the widget file in /library doesn't seem to work for me, either. hth, Teresa On the other hand, there are different fingers.
