Dear Christina,

you shouldn't feel embarrassed about not knowing these things. It took
me an inordinate amount of time to work the navigation in text
shortcut keys. Somehow they didn't seem to register in my mind. I came
to mac from Windows and Jaws two years ago but it took me a long time
to learn the key combinations you are asking for. Here is what I can
do and remember. Others will surely chip in.

1. To jump to the beginning and end of line, press control + left
arrow and right arrow respectively. Voiceover will helpfully say the
word which is at the beginning or end of line and remember that when
voiceover has said the word, it has just passed it. It's very reliable
and with time you will learn to trust it.

2. To jump to the top row and bottom row of a table once you are
interacting with it, press vo+shift+left or right arrow respectively.
I hope I'm not getting it wrong. I don't do it that often but I
remember Esther had helped me with that one. So try it and if it is
wrong, please ask the list again.

3. To jump to the beginning or end of a document either in TextEdit or
in the body of a mail message with which you need to interact, press
command+up arrow or down arrow.

I've never successfully managed to find and execute a way of jumping
up and down the document by page although others on the list have
suggested key strokes for that. So I hope that someone else will
provide those.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Simon
