I'd say fonts are one of the most common formatting problems I run into
between Office and Pages. Not that Pages can't do it correctly but
Office installs a raft of them and unless you also have Office on your
Mac, Pages will have to substitute a 'similar' font for the Microsoft
ones and that doesn't always turn out well. The character widths can end
up different so lines wrap and break at different points etc. I'm sure
it's all part of the Microsoft lock-in plan.

Thank you William. I do have the latest Pages on my I Mac but haven't used it
very much as yet. I have heard great things about Pages and how much it has
improved as I did not like pages at first when I got it in 2010 so when I get a
chance, I'll have a go! One of these days, I'll contact Anne Robertson to do
her course although as I work full time, don't know if she will cater for my
needs. Anyway, how about Microsoft Office compatibility as you have that in
your subject line?

Hello Kawal and others,
I mean pages that came out with mavericks in 2013, pages version 5.1.1.
You can see the version number in the menu-item pages and there about pages.
Kind regards,

Hello William.
Where do you get Pages 13? I have Pages on my I Mac, is it the same?
Kawal.

Hello all,
I have discovered that pages 13 is a nice evolution for accessibility. I try to
work with it as default wordprocessor with quiet good results.
However, I was wondering if I could do a import of fonts or other style object
to have the maximum as possible compatibility with ms office.
If there is a good solution for this, I will pay for it, if necessary.
Any hints are very welcome.
Thx all for the help,
kind regards,
William Windels
