Hi all,
When I use Spotlight, all I seem able to do is press enter for the top hit.
This works fine if all I want to do is launch an app, but sometimes I need to,
say, find a file and open its containing folder. I can locate the file just
fine, but when I arrow or vo-arrow to it, I suddenly hear "system has new
dialog" and my search goes away. Voiceover reports only three options: search
Google, search Wikipedia, or Spotlight Preferences, which is dimmed. The list
of results is gone, as is the text field for editing my search. I have to close
Spotlight and get back into it to search again, and there is no way to bring up
the context menu on a result or browse to other results. What's going on, and
what can I do to fix this? I'm using OS10.9.2, but this has happened for as
long as I can remember. Thanks!
