I don't message much with Skype, but two things come to mind. First, interact with the table or list of messages, then use the "bottom of item" command. On a Macbook it is vo-function-right, on a desktop keyboard with home/end keys it is vo-end. You may add shift as well, I'm not sure what the difference is.
The other is option-down. In many tables on the Mac, this jumps you right to the last row, so it is worth a try if messages are displayed in this format. It may not work, but again, it won't hurt to see.
