Hi all, When in the mailbox on the iphone, there's an edit button to the far right, toward the top. If you activate this button, you can simply split tap any message you want to delete. Then at the bottom of the screen, you'll see a button that says "delete" followed by the number of messages selected for deletion. Split or double tap this button, then your messages are gone.
