Hi, Sometimes you'll hear that announcement when a third party app like Adobe Reader has an update ready. Things like Adobe Reader and Flash have their own updaters that run in the background and when an update comes available, it is announced like this. Try the Application chooser (VO-f1-f1) or the Window Chooser (VO-f2-f2) to see if either brings up the offending System dialog. Usually, it is the Application chooser for these.
