Okay Nick already noticed two differences. First of all, I have 8 GB of memory on my computer. Secondly, I am running Mavericks and not Mountain lion. I do not know if this would make a difference, but I know that Windows is very slow on PDF files, so maybe they take up a lot of memory. Just a guess. Sincerely, Gigi
