In the bookmark menu, choose "show bookmarks" VO right from the toolbar till
you hear "bookmarks sidebar" and interact with it. Find the reading list tab
and VO-space on it. Here there will be a search field and a table with the
items in the reading list.

You can also use command-control-2 to bring up the reading list sidebar, and
this choice is also in the view menu. There are a lot of safari sidebar options
in the view menu, such as history and bookmarks as well.
