Launch the app then choose New screen recording from the file menu,
which is also command-control-N. That will pop a new window and put
focus on the start recording button. Hit that to begin. After that,
everything on the screen will be recorded to a file. It will say "click
to record the whole screen. When they say click they really mean it. I
couldn't figure out how to start it without clicking the mouse, but at
least I didn't have to click anywhere in particular. After that the
recorder window will seem to go away but it's really still there. Do
whatever you want recorded and when you're done go back to the Quicktime
App and then use the Windows Chooser (VO-F2) to pick the Screen
Recording window and you'll be dropped on the stop button. Do that and
it will pop a new window with the recording in it. From there you can
close the window with command-w which will prompt you for a filename and
place to save it.

That's probably exactly what I'm looking for, won't that record the audio as
well?

Might not be exactly what you want but the quicktime Player app lets you make a
screen recording to a file which you can then play back again later.

Ok, I didn't think I'd ever need anything like this, but can anyone recommend a
program that will capture the video as well as the audio portion of an internet
stream? I'm wanting to record at least the first portion of our on line church
service, sense my 4-year-old loves to watch the congrigation sing, and
everybody stands up and claps and the like, and on my own end, I like the way
our choir sings these songs better than the original artists.
Does anyone know of a program that will do this?
