Hi Gigi,
I don't interact with cells to edit their data, but I do need to stop
interacting with them once I have finished entering data. Either that, or press
return. But pressing return often moves me down one row and to the left, which
is a bit odd, so I usually just stop interacting. So what happens is, when I
navigate to a cell and start typing, VoiceOver obviously automatically
interacts.
As for navigating with VO keys, I guess I just do this to distinguish moving
within a cell from moving from cell to cell. So long as keyboard focus is not
in the edit area of a cell, I guess navigating with arrow keys alone would work
fine, but once you've started editing a cell, surely then you need to navigate
away with VO keys? Or do you press return or escape to stop editing a cell?
Best,
Nic
