You can re-assign the keys on any braille display for the Mac. The best way to figure things out is to toss out the Hims command list, except for special scroll key commands, and go off what the Mac says. Open up your display settings, go to "assign commands", and look at the table; those are the mappings your Edge will use.
As to the vo-j, yes, that's the command I mean. VoiceOver calls it "jump to linked item", and if memory serves, it's in the Nvigation menu when you are choosing the command.
