Hi there I do it all the time because I have customers that have Windows computers. I send out Excel invoices, having exported them from Numbers. My Apple instructor suggested that I use Ariel 12 point when going to Excel. It might not be needed all the time, but I haven't had any trouble ever since I started doing that. I did have problems in the older version of Numbers when I didn't use Ariel.
