I have been looking into AppleScript since someone posted an article on iWork automation recently and I see that it is possible to bypass the table naming issue in numbers by setting the name property of a table with simple AppleScript that can be written, compiled, and run from the AppleScript editor. I worked through the basic AppleScript tutorial found on www.iWorkAutomation.com and then looked into the specific information on AppleScripting for Numbers on that same website.
It's a great primer for anyone who might want to get into scripting on the MAC. After a little research and experimenting, I'll post again with a simple step-by-step on how to change the name of a table from the AppleScript editor instead of trying to triple click the table name from the numbers interface (sometimes a real challenge). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
