Its ok. It occurred to me that the machine was going to sleep first so I looked around and found the Energy Saver was the place to look. Am slowly getting used to the navigation in OS X. Spent too many years in Windows so its slow getting there.

Screensaver is as I mentioned, but making sure that your machine doesn't sleep 
before the Screensaver kicks in is an additional consideration.  You're right, 
that would be in the Energy Saver pane.
