In my limited experience with Pages, I've found that using the command F search
facility requires that I use the window list to move between the search pane
and the document itself in order to preserve the search results. That is, If I
search for a word or phrase and it is found, then if I escape out of the search
pane to get to the doc, it loses its place and the search term is lost - it
puts me somewhere else in the document.
But, if I use the windows list with VO F2 twice quickly, and choose the
document from the list, I am place in the doc where the search term was found.
I have't done much with searching in Pages, or on the Mac yet, and I was
planning to ask about this myself at some point.
At any rate, using the windows list in pages to move between search pane and
doc seems to preserve the search location in the document.
