It may be worth upgrading to Mavericks from Mountain Lion but for some, like me, I want to keep using ML until I am ready. I dont want to run into something that changed in Mavericks and think its either a bug or I did something incorrectly.

How long does Apple continue to an OS after they release a new one?

For now, since ML is still being supported, yes, however, the upgrade is worth
it though.

Am I correct in my belief that unless there is a specific warning stating that
one must have updated to Mavericks, any non-Mavericks updates in the app store
will be compatible with Mountain Lion, especially security updates?Christine
