Hi Brent,

This is unfortunately the case. I cannot even see my "real" local IP by
running a 'ipconfig' command in the Windows command prompt. I believe this
is because a network card cannot be used by two OSes at once, in this case -
OS X and Windows. Instead, VMWare has their own virtual adapter which you
can see under the VMWare preferences -> devices and under Windows and
network.

A brief google search yielded no work-arounds, though I could be missing
something.

Hope this helps.

Subject: question about VM ware fusion and using windows on a mac book pro

Hi all. I am using vm ware fusion and windows 7 on a mac book pro. My
question is this. When I am on the windows side and go to network, I can't
seem to get it to see other computers on my home network. If I am on the Mac
side it sees those computers fine. It is just when I am on the vm ware
fusion windows side when it doesn't see it. Is this a limitation to this
program or do I need to do something in order to get it to see my network?
Thanks in advance.
