Yes, there site is very cluttered, and you have to go through much more than you should have to just to download the newest version of their software. I'm not sure who decided to configure their site like that, but it's a pain to say the least.

Hi there,
i totally agree about VMware's website.
The best way i found to do it is to download a trial version then, when you open it you will be asked for your license information.
and, yes, it took me quite some time mucking about to figure this out. lol.

Hello.

This time it's not another VMWARE question but it's about their site.

If I said that I was on the VM website for almost 7 hours! You might ask what i was doing on it. Well, for some days, I had not been able te log in to download VMWARE 6.3 proffessional. In the end, I managed to log in with my E-mail and Pass word to find that I was accessing my old VMWARE Fusion licences. So in the end after trying to find my current licence, I decided to log in with my Password and Customer number. What I could not understand through this whole process, was what on earth were folders doing on it, as you could delete folders and share them or combine folders. I couldn't understand that. Then we came to the actual licence keys. Again you could combine your licence keys or downgrade them and more besides. However for some time I could not access the information I wanted without making it a CSV file. I've tried talking to VMWARE about this but they are not too interested to change it.

Have others on this list had trouble getting what they want on the VMWARE website? Can someone explain about the folder structure and licence key structure on their site please?

When I first started using Fusion in 2010, the site was not like this. I'm happy to say I'll have Windows 7 on my I Mac later on so I can at least download the new Focus Blue update.

Kawal.
