Hi,

To get the higher quality songs via iTunes, do the following:

* In the Music pane of iTunes, choose the Songs button.
* Interact with the Songs table.
* Make sure that the "Kind" column is visible within that table.
* Sort the list by the "Kind" column.
* Select all the non-purchased items. That is, all the AAC or mp3 songs in
that list.
* After they're selected, press the Delete key.

A dialog will appear asking you if you're sure.

* Make sure that the checkbox that says to also delete these items from iCloud
is NOT checked.
* Move them to the Trash.
* Make sure you're Interacting with the Music table.
* select the songs again if they're not already selected.
* Press VO-shift-m when in the selected area.
* choose Download from the Contextual menu.

All the songs that are matchable will be upgraded, those that are not will be
re-populated as the same as before.

HTH.

Later...

*
