What makes this scanner the one to buy? I have a friend that lives by himself and he wants a Bluetooth scanner. Hi Mike, The one you need is the kiamtac kdc410I. You can have it on amazon for about 330 bucks. There are two versions of this scanner. Make sure you get the I version. The standard version pares with the iphone, but only as a HID device. Essentially it acts like a keyboard and that is it. The I version is fully intergrated with digit-eyes. They are the same price too. I have a sheet here that lets you adjust the scan time which I can send you once you have your kdc. Default is two seconds and for me, I've found that I need a bit mor time than that usually.
