Hi,

I have two older Brother printers, the HL-5070N and the MFC-9840CDW. Both
printers are hard wired ethernet, but they were set up with a web interface.
SO, I could access all the controls via Safari. I would suggest you download
the brother manuals for the printers your are interested in, and see if there
is a web configuration option. I will say that once you set up the printer,
access is done via the Apple standard print dialogs which use standard controls
and are fully accessible. Alas, you really don't need any custom brother
software that is not already provided as part of MacOS. The only exception
might be that very first setup where you assign your printer's IP address
and/or wireless network connection.

Over all, I've been extremely happy with Brother's Mac support and ability to
upgrade drivers with new versions of MacOS.

Not a full answer, I know, but hopefully the additional details can be found in
the pdf manuals available online.

Best,

Faith doesn't give you the answers, it merely stops you from asking the
questions.
