Hi Alia, I love my Braille display. I'd say if you are going to use your display to proofread e-mails, or documents I'd say it's worth it. I have a Braille display from Handytech and love it. It has replaceable double A batteries. I use my display everyday to proofread e-mails, I also use it for work documents, etc. I'd say it's worth it if you think you're going to use it a lot. I move faster with VoiceOver too, but I do use my display as an invaluable tool for proofreading my work. Hope that helps.
